About
About Sharon Mullin
Sharon has a Bachelors in music education, and has been a vocalist since age 13. Both a seasoned singer and choir director, life on-stage is second nature.
In addition to her stagecraft, she has passionately spent the last five years as a cooking specialist, helping others to no longer fear 'strange' and gourmet ingredients, and to strive towards delicious, healthful eating.
The proud mother of three grown sons (and three dogs), Sharon's mission is to get families away from the fast food drive thru, and back around the family table with beautiful food and conversation. (Absolutely no cell phones!)
Part of that mission is knowing not just what you are eating, but where it comes from. With diabetes and heart disease at an all time high, it's time to take control of our personal health and well-being.
The thought is that by eating nutritionally-rich meals, and approaching mindfulness, the weight should manage itself. Sharon has kept off over 160 lbs (~11.45 stone), and it is her hope that you will find some inspiration from not only her successes, but struggles as well. The goal of this blog is to share wonderful recipes that are so good, you'll forget they are actually good for you. But also note that she is not here to offer any concrete medical advice. What she shares is what has worked for her, both physically and emotionally.
