Box of Pills Anyone???

Does this look like the pill container of  anyone you know?   Maybe it's even you.  It used to look a lot like mine at one time.  My mother-in-law had a whole box of meds that had to be divided on a regular basis.  Drugs for COPD, pain, anxiety, muscle relaxers, blood presser, cholesterol,  and a whole bunch of drugs to counteract the side effects of the drugs. For people like us, it was always time to take a pill.
Yet somehow I never felt better and neither did she.  Remember that the information stated below is based on my journey and I am NOT giving anyone any medical advice. I am NOT telling anyone to  stop their meds.
Although I was dropping the weight, I was still malnourished, deeply depressed and had high blood pressure.  Being in constant pain and getting muscle cramps regularly, I could see myself heading for that huge box of pills, and my collection was slowly growing.   My lab results were dismal. Zero D3, next to no B12, iron and low potassium. Ouch.  (Remember, I had to have labs because I have that absorption problem)  The Dr's  office called and I had to com in right way to get shots for the B12 and large amounts of supplements to bring my levels up.
This didn't change overnight by any means.  No wonder I was so tired. I was exhausted when I went to bed and more exhausted when I woke up. I dragged myself to and from work and would have to lay down for a couple of hours before I could make dinner. Then I would be down for the night.
As I began to dig in and change my nutrition intake, after a relatively short time I finally began to feel a difference.  The more wonderful organic foods I consumed, the more wonderful I felt..
My numbers are now pretty amazing.  More fruits more veggies.  Everyone tells you that. However, there is more to it than that.  There are important complex carbs out there that are made from amazing wheat or grains. It's the white squishy crap that's causing the problems.
I've had zealots comment that I should never eat any oil whatsoever. No organic veggie broth from a carton. Absolutely no honey, it's bee barf.  There's nothing like a zealot.  My diet is about 95 % plant based and if I want a tablespoon of what I consider a healthy oil to crisp up my roasted root vegetables, I'm going to have it. Well smite me a blow!  A small grating of real Parmesan from the  source of origin in Italy that operates under the strictest of rules handed down by generations? (I better duck)   I'm going to have it. I don't eat meat at all anymore, but that's my choice. I haven.t eaten beef or pork in over 25 years.  Turkey, chicken and fish came later.
Now you're going to ask me where I get my protein. Plants have protein.  It's actually very hard not to get enough protein. In fact, many of us get too much protein.
My hair has grown back and I finally have eyelashes around my right eye. It had been years. This is monumental for me.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather get my nutrients from whole foods that have to go back to that damn box of pills.
