These are a Few of my Fav-or-ite things.

The following items are my favorite things, not the song, just the foods.

Dagoba Drinking Chocolate Very low in sugar, organic and Rain Forrest Alliance. The best! They also have baking and eating bars in wonderful flavors.    King Arthur Flour: Unbleached and employee owned.     Arrowhead Rice and Shine: Delicious Creamy breakfast food. (I like to mix some with my Mope Meal).   Whole Grain Milling Company: My favorite pancake mix. (used in the Power Pancake recipe).  The Grainery: Oatmeal that you mill yourself.  The only place I've found it is at Fresh Thyme.

The only time I ever liked the song "My Favorite Things" was when Bjork (in the incredibly amazing movie) Dancer in the Dark was auditioning for a local musical theater production of  The Sound of Music. The theater was big into cheesy props and every time she sang an item featured in the song, someone brought her the corresponding prop for it.  When they plopped a large plate of Schnitzel with noodles on her head,  I laughed out loud so hard I had to run to the bathroom.
 I digress.
Actually, if you want (or need) more than a good cry, you must see this movie.  I woke up three days in a row sobbing.
Again, I digress.
I've been trying new products continuously since I started this blog.  Some have been the best thing I've ever tasted and some have been real stinkers. (literally and figuratively).
Below I'm going to show you some of the wonderful items I've tried that have become part of my regular healthy lifestyle. Like I've said before, some healthier items are more expensive.  Look for ads, sales, coupons and download apps. Bulk bins at the Lakewinds co-op and Whole Foods are fantastic bargains. Often, they are the same brand that's sold on the shelf for much more.   Trader Joe's also has some great products at wonderful savings.  I also made a list of priorities in order to hold down cost adding one or two items when I added another healthy step. Little by little you will build up a lovely pantry and only need to then replace what you've used up.

Milled Flax seeds, hemp hearts and ground chia seeds for my Magic Mix.

Organic pumpkin: a staple on my shelf.  Also great for your dogs digestion when they're
not feeling well.         Brown Rice Syrup:    Excellent sweetener. Makes great Brown Rice
Crispy Treats  and energy bites. (See mt recipe).  Wolfgang Puck:  Good to keep on your shelf for an                                       emergency.   Organic Valley: For those who eat dairy products.    Sonnyfield: Grass fed Yogurt.

Frontera: Chef Rick Bayless out of Chicago. I've said it before, I live in the real world and sometimes you have to eat on  the run no matter how prepared you are.  Vegan and absolutely delicious with clean ingredients.
I like what he stands for.  I couldn't finish it all, so I made this gorgeous tostada
with the rest  for lunch the next day.

Great corn muffins, Back to nature cookies and crackers, The world's thickest sour cream and Ella Blue loves these peanut butter  crackers!
