Are Our Bodies Betraying Us???

Actually our bodies are amazingly resilient.  They would have to be. Just think about all the abuse it has taken over the years.  I believe a lot of the packaged, processed and fast foods have had a great deal to do with the  decline in America's health .
While we need to own up to our part in all this, we are not totally at fault. Look at all the ads and claims on these foods. You see the glossy packaging, read the buzz words on the front and we think to ourselves "Well it must be true or they couldn't put it in the package".  WRONG!!! Many companies walk a very fine line when it comes to marketing.  Technically  everything written is legal.  When they cross the line, some watch groups take individual products (you can't sue the whole company all at once) and make them take back their claims.  They may very well be "natural" ingredients, but where did the ingredients come from, what did they do to it and what else is in there?
Out bodies are waging a war within us.  Pretty soon, it can't overcome the damage we're doing and that's when heart disease and type 2 diabetes begin to rear their ugly heads. I swear that some day the people on our planet are going to start looking like the characters in the          Every positive move we make towards health is a victory. Wherever you are on your journey, be kind to yourself. Don't beat yourself up over food.
In the not so distant past, I've lost everything I had. I'm on a very limited budget, so if I can do this, anyone can. You have to make tough decisions and decide the most important items to start with.  Perhaps just start on whole grain breads and rice.  Yes, there are companies that have good reputations and I do trust them. They do cost more, but I stocked up a little at a time until I had a healthy pantry.   In another blog I'll be listing some of my favorites.
One body. One chance at life. Treasure every opportunity.  Choose to live a life of health and pure joy. Cut back costs on other things, (how many coffees have you had out this month???)  not your food.  Food is a precious commodity and our very lives depend on it.  The kind of future your children have depends on it.
